Mrinalini Sarabhai has been awarded with the following:
1. National civilian award Padma Shri in 1965
2. Padma Bhushan in 1992.
3. Degree of Doctor of Letters, honoris causa (LittD) by the University of East Anglia, Norwich, UK in 1997.
4. Medal and Diploma of the French Archives Internationales de la Danse.(She was the first Indian to receive this).
5. Sangeet Natak Akademi Fellowship, New Delhi in 1994.
